The Finance Audit Agent is a read-only forensic exception engine for the pre-close window: it reads the group's general ledger across every legal entity and runs a battery of deterministic tests — duplicate journals, round-number and just-below-threshold clustering, back-dated and post-period postings, sequence gaps, intercompany breaks, and Benford's-law analysis — then hands the controller a ranked, drill-through exception queue to disposition item by item. It never posts, edits, blocks or files; a human confirms everything.

The model never owns a number

Deterministic code — Python, SQL, statistics — is the sole source of truth for every figure and flag. Switch the model off and every number is unchanged.
